The Dunes Course at Costa Navarino

Featuring two Greek golf courses; Navarino Dunes and Navarino Bay, Costa Navarino will have separate clubhouse facilities approximately three miles apart. Both will offer 5 star hotels and facilities, as well as residential real estate at a later stage, all of which will have access to the Costa Navarino golf courses and playing facilities. While both sites are situated on seafront property, boasting wonderful views in all directions, they are dramatically different in terrain and characteristics.

 

The Dunes Course, designed by former US Masters Champion and Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design, will include two 5- star hotels, The Romanos, A Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Navarino and The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino, that sit on a gentle rolling hillside that slopes down to the Ionian Sea. This championship course, set in a landscape of diverse topography with spectacular sea and river views, incorporates some links-style features in areas closest to the sea, with tall dunes dividing some of the holes adjacent to the golden beach. Parts of the course venture into olive and fruit groves, while some holes run along a small river that meanders through the site. Combined with large undulating greens, wide fairways and steep-faced pot bunkers, the links element of the course adds to its unique style and playability.

 

The 18 hole seaside golf course at Navarino Bay, The Bay Course, to be completed early 2011 will include a Banyan Tree hotel and is located on a bluff overlooking the bay. With 80% of all trees offering sublime sea views and two holes playing along the historic bay of Navarino, the course will meander through three distinct natural environments; The Seaside, Canyon and Grove holes will provide striking contrasts that create a dramatic and memorable round.

 

Both courses will have a golf academy featuring a state-of-the-art teaching center.
